As outlined in the wiki proposal, functorOS will aim to freeze a branch in tandem with the branch-off of NixOS 25.11 (codename: "Xantusia"), corresponding to functorOS 25.11 (codename: "Spivak"). This branch will track NixOS 25.11 and receive no more breaking changes, until its planned deprecation upon the release of functorOS 26.05 (codename TBD).
